Three young men and three young women are sharing an apartment. They are would- be stage folk and they have been driven to this community scheme by the lack of economic security. It is a whacky plan they have in mind, for the apartment they rent is right above that of a Broadway producer. Their plans get more and more complicated as the plan pro- gresses by the fact that a snippy young friend of one ofthe girls enters the picture and threat- ens to tell the girl's father that she is living in what could most politely be called an unusual manner. When the kids finally get the producer in the house, they are not going to let him out until he sees some evidence of their ability. To impress him they stage a murder scene. It is so realistic that police swarm into the scene and the misunderstanding becomes hilarious when it is discovered the girl who is playing the corpse has been served a 'Amickey Finn . How- ever, in spite of everything, what seems to be a profitable friendship springs up, and equity dues get paid. It looks as if the future might hold some promise for the youngsters. The whole cast gave very outstanding performances. Giving his time and patience was Mr. William Dye, the director. GlEE CLUB A CAPPEllA CHOIR This vocal group of boys and girls from the tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades were selected after lengthy tryouts on the part of their director, Mrs. Schiewe. The group has provided choral selec- tisns for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter programs. They also participated in the Winter Concert and the Spring Festival. Their style closely resembles that of Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians and the group uses many of Mr. Waring's popular arrangements. I'm sure we agree they do a very excellent job with them. The turn-out of students for the Senior High Choir was good this year. Too good, in fact. as far as the girls are concerned. The girls far outnumbered the boys, so Mrs. Schiewe took a group of girls and started the Girls' Glee Club. These girls performed at several programs. They sang alone on some numbers and they also did a couple of songs with the Choir. Row 1-S. Davis, K. Greguric, J. Adams, V. Mittal. M. Hook, A. Jessup. S. Vu- jevic. J. Pierson. R. Hess. B. One was organized because the boys liked barbershop music. They are: Burdell Hetrick. Clyde Werner. Richard Gonder and James Swinehart. The other four boys liked harmony in the popular Vein. They arc: Bob Luchette, David Ram- sey, Steve Berecek and Ernie Stefan- ovsky. THE GIRLS' OCTET The Girls' Octet, known as the Cordettes, has been around for a few years. The object of the girls is to sing in harmony and to sound sweet. JUNIOR HIGH BAND The Junior High Band is a preparation for I Senior Band. The members are Chosen from the seventh. eighth and ninth grades.. They are under the direction of Mr. Furney. They worked hard for the concerts which they gave in the winter and spring. They also worked at marching routines. JUNIOR HIGH CHORUS The Junior High Chorus, under the direc- tion ol' lVIrs. Sehiewe, worked diligently learning their scales and singing in harmony. SWING BAND Hey, Dad, get the beat! This morsel of eat talk can usually be heard flying around our Warrior Swingsters anytime they start rolling on one of their jump numbers. Under the able direction of Mr. Robert Furney, and with Ron Losik on solo trumpet and Ernie Stefan- ovsky on the trap drums, the songs emitting from the group can range from sweet love songs to the Muskrat Ramble. The group has played for almost all of our school dances and have played for dances at Sharpsville and Vienna. The group hopes to use their excellent training as reference to find spots with a big-name dance band in the near future. Keep up the good work, gangf Biggs. A. Chantrey. F. Kish. McKenzie. S.
