They are also striving to keep abreast with new techniques on education through such organizations as the newly-founded Teachers' Association of Brookfield Township. This year was important to our school, for 1950 saw the beginning of our group guidance plan. Directed by Mr. Edwards, students meet once a week in groups to discuss problems of social. economic. and personal importance. '4Can't say as I do and can't say as I donlt ll was only one of the phrases from the non-forgettable senior play, Anne of Green Gables, presented at two matinees and an evening performance in No- vember under the direction of Miss Dickson. We all remember Anne, the little girl who was a genius at getting into trouble. The firm hand of Marilla Cuthbert and the gentle way of Matthew in regard- ing and reforming Anne made the play delightful. Anne's imaginative escapades with her two com- panions, Diana and Josie, and her young romance with Gilbert Blythe were constant sources of merri- ment as we visited Green Gables in the early part of the century.
