SPANISH STUDENTS SEEK FURTHER INTERESTS This year at Brookfield East several Spanish speaking students have been able to further their language interests outside of the traditional classroom learning. The group to the immediate right will be saying, Vamos a Mexico! on June 21,'l976. They will spend eight days in the Central American country sightseeing and learning more about the Mexican culture. Some in- teresting areas toured will be the National Palace, The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the cliffs of Acapulco, and the Aztec Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. The group of students below competed in a Spanish pronounciation contest on February 6, 1976, at the Waukesha regional held at Waukesha South High School. Going on to the state competition in April were Mike Brophy tfirst at regionals in first year competitionj, Bridget Maye tsecond place in second yearl, Bill Langdon tfirst at regionals in third year com- petitionl, and Kevin Enge isecond place in fourth yeary.
