Unlike last year, East's girls golf team, coached by Mrs. Shirley Enlvin, was able to compete this year-and did so rather sucessfully. They placed third in con- ference and fifth in sectionals. Team mem ber Kris Sutton, a three year veteran, was voted captain. A sophomore, Debbie Williams, was voted most valuable player. Debbie was a medalist at regionals. With three graduating members, the team will need more support for their next season to qualify for competition. So, if your talents are in playing golf, the Girl's Golf team of 1976 wants youl

SECOND ROW: John Engel, Larry Freigang. WALSH REPFIESENTS TEAM AT STATE The wrestling team, filled with amazing youth mixed with some veterans, compiled a respectable 5-5-1 record. After finishing fourth in the conference meet, the team went into the WIAA tournament. Jerry Walsh, 132 pound senior for East, went all the way to third in state, the highest spot ever taken by a Spartan wrestler.
