The team averaged four runs per game while holding the opposition to three runs. Co- captains for the team were Bill Bohrer and Jon Dzurak. East will look forward to returning pitchers Mark Peschman and Tom Carek. Tom Carek led this summer's team in almost every offensive category while bat- ting .330. For this, he was awarded the Most Valuable Player award.

CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES WELL DESPITE Varsity cross country had various dif- ficulties this year, such as having three of the top ten teams in the state in the con- ference and having our own top runners sustaining injuries. Despite these dif- ficulties, the team came out a surprising fifth in the conference, showing that they could come through undaunted in spite of problems.
