FRENCH CLUB Not only do French Club members enhance their understanding of French culture through guest speakers and field trips to French restaurants, but members take care of Brookfield East's foster child. As club advisor Mrs. Ulrich put it The French Club has taken over the handling of the financial support of Kim do Sung, BEHS's foster child in South Korea. We originally wanted a French speaking child, but as none were available at that time, we were given the chance to support Kim. We have 'raised' one other child who is now self-supporting. Most people think that the Latin language and culture are dead. To that thought members of Latin Club politely reply, Taurus squalar! tnonsensel. Latin is alive in all parts of our language and society. Even our roads are copies of the Rom- man's with a layer of asphalt on top. Most of all, the language we and most of Europe speak consists of many Latin idioms, while half of our language as a whole has its roots in Roman times. No wonder there is a movement afoot in the European Common Market to use Latin again as the European Language.

X CONSERVATION GUN CLUB The main goal of the Conservation Gun Club this year was to work with the Key Club to improve the Biology study area. They hoped to provide a natural habitat for wildlife. Who else but these female Flash Gordons could deliver ten messages to all corners of the school at 2:55? You know who they are. They're the girls you see coming to the door just after class has started, asking, Any absentees? Truly a service to the school, they give up their study halls and give of themselves to help run the school efficiently.
