BO YS' VULLEYBALL The Bronx Science Boys' Volleyball ream is rhe firsr New Yorls Ciry PSAL champion. Our school ream defeared Srevenson in rhe finals ro cap off a 12-C5 season. 1987 was rhe firsr year for league play, bur Science defeared many schools, includ- ing Hunrer, which had club reams for years, Coach Greg Greene led Science ra a Bronx Division I rifle and ro exciring vicrories over previ- ously bearen l-lunrer and Stevenson. Coach Greene described his special group as a dedi- cared ream rhar worked rheir burrs off, lr was a rrue ream efforr highlighred by rhe perfor- mances of srarrers Jusrin Shon, Chingse Paun, Chris Chung, Perer Lem, Dan Weinbaum, and Milse Shelley in addirion ro rhe erforrs of Anrho- ny Green Jey Graziano and Jaeyul Chang. The defending champions are loolsing for- ward ro anorher grear season wirh rerurning seniors Jeff Klainberg Ben Wiener Kenny Chin Wan-Sang Kang and juniors James Tu Parag Shah Brian Jones Yoon Choi and sophomore Andre Gherie. Another championship season will nor come easily however. Coach Greg Greene plans plenry of rigorous pracrice sessions ro lseep his ralenred arhleres in rop condirion.
