Mr. Warner. who received a chairmanship at anuther sclitml. was replaced hy Nlr. Taulu-r for tht- 1950 season. With things guing as wt-ll for the team this year as they did last year. there ap- peared to he no reason w hy the Sf'I.l'lIC'l' llacketmen w ouldn't land at tht- top. GULF linder consideration were Nlilie lipsts-in. Eddie lnslcy. and Barry Bronstein. Linfurtunately wc weren't altle to follow these gallant gentlemen as they drove their way to victory along the green fairway of tht- city golf course. for no spectators were permitted--none. that is. lint Xlr. llharles lfafcrella. their macli. advisor. and sole source of encouragement. He did. though. pass on the w ord that the prospects looked good for the coming season as wc wcnt to press. H-4-xUBflLL It seemed tn he the general upinion of those- imwlwd that the Handhall team of V355-50 will have a hit nf rough traveling. Although the team had finished second in the city the prcxious year. walking away with the Nlanllattan and Bronx Championshilvs. tht-y anticipated hard work tu attain such achiexemcnt this year. Con- sulting the schedule of ewnts. Rcm.w1'1'll. Clirzlmz and Tuff were tht- teams to watch out for. Those boys on the team to w hom we looks-d for victorious matchcs were Captain .-Xron Schiller. Steve Furtgang. Dave lireithart. Danny Schulze-r. Marty lficltert. Ira Adler. and Arthur Tiger. Nlr. Werlilnw. the teams coach since its founding nine years ago. w as confident that the team w ill play good luall.
