H This is the way Mr. Frankel expressed his happiness upon discovering that our energetic Seniors were leav- ing their college applications sitting on their desks at home. He had decided that it wouldnit be fair for us to be called Seniors for two con- secutive years so he devised the title g'Super-Science-Seniorsfi what a lovely phrase! Nlost of us gave serious thought to the prestige w e'd have as the first Super-Seniors in Science history. Just think of the honor of spending not four but five years in the lironx High School of Science. Hut sadly enough a glance at the flow' of Seniors into the Guidance Uliice shows that the '56 conformists will also wind up in college on schedule as did their predecessors. The blame for this conformity lies with our three Advisers: Mrs. Kwit. Mr. Alkali. and Mr. Frankel. They seem to spend all their time discovering bigger and better colleges and universities to woo us away from Science. Their discourses on these institutions of higher learning are so informative and scintillating that our Seniors can almost always be found searching for the grade guides. ltis quite miraculous that with so much time spent in preventing us from becoming SUPPT-SClPIlFf'-SPI!lUl'S they have time for anything else. but a glance into their class- rooms shows some interesting scenes. Wie look into lloom 201 and see Mr. Frankel in an informal atmosphere of coffee and bagels helping one of his courageous Bio stu- dents to puncture her fingerg Mrs. Kwil can be found in the midst of a soliloquy from Hmnlet. or in a thought-provoking discussion about the meaning of Tragedyg in Mr. .-Xlkali's room. we catch him engrossed in explaining the way to solve a simultaneous equation. However. a peep into Room IUQA will find these same people who a little while ago were involved in their teaching. discouraging a lad with a 697 average from becoming a Super-Science-Senlor. Although the malingereris heart may be set on it, Mr. Alkaliis encouragement finally convinces the culprit that his progress should be made outside of the Science portals and in some college. ln another corner of the olhce we see Nlrs. Kwit conversing with some of the girls about the advantages and disadvantages of Cornell. Careful reading has already convinced them of its advantagesgboys outnumber girls at Cornell 5-l. As we leave Science lliglz for the colleges and universities all over our vast land. we feel we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our Senior Ad- visers for though we w onit be Super-Science-Seniors next year. we it-ill be College Fl'f'SlIll1f'II., S.-xxov Hui-'izwsriziv
