After teaching in Indiana for thirteen years she came to Bronson in 1956. Since then she has been the driving force of Bronson's Home Ec Department. In her role as an educator she initiated the concept of co- educational home-economics and such courses as family living and interior decorating. On behalf of the student body we wish to thank Mrs. Haenni for her contribution to our futures and to those of our families and dedicate the 1973 Viking Yearbook to her. 3 And where it stops nobody knows Will the real tenni-runners please stand up 4 Peek-a-boo! ah! here it is. He has also fulfilled his boyhood wish to become a farmer. WARREN WADE, our principal, wanted to be a pro-baseball pitcher when he was small. PHYLLIS CRANDALL is Mr. Wade’s secretary. When she was a little girl, she wanted to be a teacher. We guess working here may have caused her to be glad she's not. 22 This is ROBERT BEAUCHAMP'S second year as superintendent at Bronson. His boyhood dream was to become an architect. MARLENE BURKHARDT, financial secretary, always wanted to be a soda fountain clerk. MARIE TRACY is Mr. Beauchamp's secretary. She dreamed of being a nurse. Perhaps that's why there are students in the sick room so often. 23 fifl Qchoot Boaid Left-right and top to bottom. Vera was known throughout the school for her academic skills, particularly in math and science. She had a great interest in our way of life and in return told us much about hers. She made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Smith and Susi. Ana’s lively personality made her visible wherever she went and her giggle was quite contagious. A greased pig contest and a scavenger hunt were also added to the activities. Dan Belote went for the most (8.50) at the slave auction - a sign perhaps that inflation hasn't struck the male body market since in 1970 they were going for $15-$20. ii 80 84 86 Drama production has existed as a class for 2 years now.
