Foreword We, the 1961 Viking staff, sincerely hope that this annual will serve its purpose well, preserving the many memories created during this school year. In the years to come, we will look back with pleasure on all the fun and excitement we experienced at Bronson High School. Seniors have first prize float in the Homecoming Parade. Cheerleader's float placed second. Homecoming Royalty Crowned Homecoming 1960-61 style got off to a good start on Friday, October 21, with a bonfire in the early evening. Following this, the parade and snake dance wound its way down through town to the football field. The parade was led by the B. H. S. Band, and was followed by the floats representing the Senior Class, Pep Club, G.A.A., Varsity Cheerleaders, and the Eighth Grade Girls' Phys. Ed. Class. During the halftime of the game, the new king, Mike Poling, and the new queen, Marcia Pugli, were crowned. Later in the evening, the new king and queen, along with their court, reigned over the dance. The team also entered into the occasion by scoring three touchdowns. King Mike Poling and Queen Marcia Pugli being crowned by last year's royalty, Phil Houtz and Janette Arundel. - 4 -
