Handicap System Equalizes Teams Girls' Bowling this year consisted of seven teams with four girls on a team. For the first time, the girls used the handicap system for keeping teams equal. Under this system, both teams added up the averages of their players. After both totals were found, then the team having the highest total gave 75 of the difference to the other team. This way, if a less skilled team is playing a better one, they can have a good chance of winning. Mrs. Henry Piatt devoted much time and effort in helping the girls learn how to become better bowlers. Karen Czajkowski shows us how it's done. - 17
