“We proceeded on to see Bob Lamb. Bob is living on a fine farm. He said Lois CRogersJ makes a fine farmer's wife. Little Bobby starts to school soon. As time was getting short we had to leave Bob's farm and journey into town. As we drove into town we noticed posters scattered around saying that the Bronson Bulldogs were playing the Apple Ridge Wildcats in the championship game that night at the city hall. This sounded like quite an interesting game so we decided to go. Later on, at the game, we learned that John Page was coaching Bronson's team this year. At the half-time we went down to the dressing room and surprised John. He said he had had a very successful year at coaching, with fourteen wins and two ties. John's team is noted all around for it's clean play and good sportsmanship. By this time the second half had begun. John's team came back with lots of fight in this quarter. We noticed several bright flashes down on the court where a girl was taking flash pictures of the game. As she walked nearer to us we noticed, at once, that it was Barbara Likely Barbara said she had been a photographer for the Daily Press right here in Bronson for some time She said she followed all of the basket ball games and took pictures It seemed that there was quite a disturbance on the court The other coach had been caught brlbing and paying off the referees As the law had to take the upper hand they called the game off and took the Apple Ridge coach to jail The next day as we were walking uptown we ran into none other than Pauline Muntaert QCamacj Pauline was doing her weekly shopping She said that her three children take up most of her t1me She still seems to find time to carry on her social functions Pauline is now the head of the Ladies' Sewing Circle and also president of the Child Wel fare board Pauline said that she had received a letter from Audrey Miller CStew art that morning It seems as though Audrey and Neil are living on a chicken ranch near Buff Rock, California Later in the afternoon, we accidently ran across Ilene Townsley Ilene had both arms full of ungraded papers Yes, Ilene had turned out to be a school teacher She said that Herb had been Wrunning her raggedw trying to get her to quit the teaching profession and marry him Ilene asked us if we were going to court in the morning She said that they were trying the Apple Ridge coach for bribery the next day As we had not planned anythlng we decided to go to the trial The next morning we went to court and were surprised at seeirg Rex Har rison representing the State in this case Rex conducted this trial in a very legal manner Rex proved his ability as a splendid lawyer We congratulated him over winning his case Rex told us that he is still a woman hater and intends to be one until the day he dies As our vacation time was nearly gone we bade farewell to dear old Bron son and started home A' fI:s AE pb Q00 l I IU! ,X--7 .S S LBRQN5 ,,.. ,Af j ll C .
