As we looked out we discovered we were flying .....l Q Senior Class Prophecy QQ It was a beautiful day and we vere gliding along in ur ne 1963 super sonic rocket plane We had been saving our pennies since graduation and had decided we had enough to start a trip to visit all our class mates Cgraduates of '48D a few minutes and As we were gazing Out of curiosity they told us that town in which the over the rolling pl ins it will probably change Qfor the worst around we were surprised to we glided into the airport and were we this beautiful city was none other than see a huge metropolis amazed when Bronson, the high school, from which we gr duated, is located! Later to our utter mazement we learned that Bob Kibble was credited with the splendid engineering job of reconstructing Bronson We went to visit Bob and found him living in a beautiful suite at the Magnolia Hotel Bob is the typical bachelor, though he is still looking for the right girl out to the auto races a good margin The driver Poore We rushed down to congr tulate him He took us over and introduced us to his lovely wife and three sweet blond daughters, the eldest of which evidently is following in her father's footsteps by beginning to worry the opposite sex at an early stage That evening for the entertainment we went They were exciting! Car 13 came in first by stepped out and who should it be but Melvin After a quite lengthy conversation we declded to dine at the Exclusive Cafeteria Upon arriving we were astounded at seeing Marie Daylong waiting tables She later told us that a secretary's life had become too dull, and she had resorted to the more exciting life of a waitress Marie told us Carrol Noble had a fine dairy farm just outside the city CI just can't ima ine how she knew so much about him Maybe she'd been seeing him a lot? We were just speaking of Carrol when he came swaggering in the door It seemed it was time for Marie to go Chome9 Carrol told us he had just received a letter from Delbert Woodcock Delbert has been in the Army for eleven years He 1 now stationed in the Phillipine Islands, and he is very thrilled over his new promotion o a P Carrol also tells us Euleta says she is ver tired of moving around so much Being the wife of an army officer C9 is very dull and unroman tic, especially since she has the responsibility of the children It was gettlng late so we spent the night at the Bronsonian Hotel. W saw the K and L grocery is now the K L and W. We went down and Bob Willits greeted us. Bob now has one third interest in the grocery. He has finally married and settled down. His wife, Virginia, and their twins were there. My, they were cute! They looked just like Bob. Their names were Bobby Johnson and Virginia Roberta. On the way to the Lamb farm we had to wait on a train. While waiting we watched them unload the mail, and we were highly amused at the short good looking fellow working so feverishly. He looked familiar, too. Suddenly it clicked. That blond twerp was Layne Short. We could hardly wait to see him. Layne just had a fifteen minute layover so we had to talk fast. Layne's been a mail clerk for over five years. Before that he served a hitch in the Navy. He told us he was now mar ried. I believe, he said his wife's name was Yvonne !DanleyD and they had two adorable children. We d1dn't have nearly enough time to talk, but since the mail had to go through we had to part. x V rex Lrix of A' I 1 ,api-rx' of Kansas, where if you don't like the present weather you just wait . .J. qt .
