LAST VILL NAD TE STATHUX We, the Senior Class, of Bronson High School, County of Bourbon, State of Kansas, being of unsound mind and feeble memory after four stren uous years, do hereby make, publish and declare this as our last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills, bequeaths, and de vices of whatever nature, by us already made To our highly esteemed superintendent, Mr Smith, we bequeath a new book of rules, said book containing provisions for increase of holi days to, two holidays each week, and change of school hours to 9 30 A M to l OO P M with two fifty nine minute recesses Our dignity and good sense we leave to the junior class May they apply it with rapid and spreading strokes To the sophomore class we leave our quick wits and our ability to play hookey without having to make up double time To the freshmen, we leave our good behavior and cooperative spirit Our individual bequests are as follows Wilmer Sloan I, Marie Daylong, will my ability to argue to Geraldine Wolford and my typing ability to Irene Willits I, Melvin Poore, leave my reckless driving to Owen Popp, and my abil ity to get along with the teachers to Lois Rogers I, John Page, bequeath my basketball suit to Willard Young and my abil ity to take students to court to Virginia Hockett I, Carrol Noble, will my friendly chats with the teachers to Bill Clark, and my natural curly hair to Kyle Fuhrman Thompson I, Bob Willits, bequeath my love for the wild west and cowboy boots to Devaun Burrows and my ability to ride to Dollene Talbot I, Delbert Woodcock, will my ability to tease others, and my height to Mildred Andrews I, Rex Harrison, bequeath my debating ability to Tommy Johnson I, Bgb Lamb, bequeath Lois Rogers to Earl Flnfrock Knot willingly how ever I,Clarence Walker, will my white teeth to Florence Woodcock I, Euleta Hillman, will my desk in the back of the room to anyone and Danny Reagan to Mary Sue Bowers I, Bob Kibble, will my curly hair to Elvis Reeder and all my girl friends to Jimmy Gorman I, Pauline Muntzert will my musical voice and my freckles to Margaret Reeder I, Ilene Townsley, will my sweet qui t disposition to Mary Holeman I, Barbara Likely, leave my ballroom dancing technique to Barbara Redfearn It has been requested by the teachers that Audrey Miller leave her quiet disposltion with Omar Townsley I, Layne Short, will my Ngift of gabu and my wild, wolfish ways to

We do hereby appoint Miss Dunlap as administrator of thls, our last will and testament, and do hereby direct her to carry out our bequests immediately In witness whereof, we the Senior Class, do set our hand and seal here to this fourteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred forty eight Witnesses iqjyxjgovl QQ, Hope Burtch Svaneal 3 C F Sm th CLAS ISTOKY We, the seniors of l9A8, give you the legal history of our class in the past four years Freshman Year As freshmen one of the main events that took place was the initiation Most of the year we did very little besides study hard and be green By the end of the freshman year we were well acquainted with high school The freshman class consisted of elght girls and twelve boys, with John Page as president Their sponsor was T E Osborn phomore Year The sophomore year was more hectic with the one social event of the year being a line party to Moran to see the movie 'Thunderhead' The sophomores also participated in the all school carnival, sponsoring a Ncrazy housen All the girls and some of the boys took part in the operetta, WLove Plrates of Hawaiin Eleven boys orchestra The class consisted of seven g1rls and thirteen boys New students, the sophomore year were Melvin Poore and Clarence Walker Ben Keith was the sophomore class president, with Mrs Hattie Sanders as sponsor Junior Year The junior year was very actlve The flrst business ven ture was a pie supper The juniors gave a very good program and sold a lot of pies Another business venture was the JUHIOF Senior Carnival, in which the two classes worked together and split the profits The Junior Senior Banquet proved to be a great success The tneme was WA Candlelight Reunionn The class at the starting of school consisted of twenty one students, eight girls and fourteen boys Sev ral of the boys went out for football, basketball, and track Actlvxtles partlc ipated in by the glrls were orchestra, glee club, and basketball The third year we lost Benny Keith and Marian Rife The president was Mary Martin, who quit school at mid term Pauline Muntzert was elected in her place E W Jenkins served as sponsor Senior Year The senior class consisted of slxteen students, six girls and ten boys The president was Pauline Muntzert A mock radio program given by the seniors for assembly proved so good the P T A had them put it on at the January meeting On February ll, 1948, the class gave the senior play which vas attended by a large crowd The seniors had a very splendid sneak, with Mlss Enld Dunlap, sponsor, going as one of the chaperones Nov after four years of WOTk1Dg together we leave high school to move outward to new adventures and new insti tutions of learnlng - , ' . . 1 ' So . .
