V GV Q .A Senlor Snack wonunuedb on the beach of Lake Taneycomo We ate our furst meal uptown and some went to see Doll Face star rung Carman Maranda and Perry Como at the theatre The next mornlng we went shopping for groceries for breakfast After breakfast we spent the forenoon row boatlng hnknng and xnvestlgatnng the town and nts outskrrts After lunch we started to Forsyth to the Powersute Dam Here we looked down upon the dam from the hlll but went around to the other slde so that we mught be able to get a closer vtew We walked under the dam to the other snde lt was very unterestung and a beautuful slght We est: mated rt as beung 850 feet long From Powersute we went to Rockaway Beach Here we hlred motor boats and a speed boat All had an enjoy able boat rude When we were once again an Branson we started further lnvestlgatmg and roaming about Most of us went row boatang agaln that nlght The next mornung Lloyd Broughton had to be back early so fnve of our number Wanda Anor Madge Evelyn and Kenny had to say goodbye to the Ozarks brlght and early They left at 5 30 for thenr return trup to Bran son and reached Mt Vernon about 7 00 where they ate breakfast They arnved back nn Bronson at 10 30 a m quute tared and sleepy but happy from the trap Those of us remaanunq ate breakfast In the cabuns then we packed our belongangs and were on the way back to Bronson at 9 20 a m We went around by the offuce of Marvel Cave but declded not to go through the cave We stopped by Old Matt s Cabln and saw some very lnterestung snghts there Then we went up to The lnspuratuon Ponnt We ate lunch nn Aurora and looked about for lust a few mlnutes We arruved back home at approxumately 4 OO p m All were tnred from the trlp but all had had one wonderful week end that we can always remember unlor Senlor Banquet Fnday nught Aprul 26 proved to be an excellent nught for the Junnor Sensor Banquet at Bronson Hugh School The guests gathered ln the scsence room whlch was arranged as a receptlon room They entered the banquet room through a gateway over whlch grew roses and other flowers The decorations carrued out the rannbow theme A large raanbow span ned one end of the garden dlrectly behind the speaker s table There was 'Tx V A A ,. - ' C A 4 ' V - ll II - I x . G frmegmgffmv-gem 5 unlor Senlor Banquet wonrmuedl a proverblal pot of gold at the rarnbows end Behmd the rannbow was a woodland scene The fence about the garden and the trelluses were cov ered wuth vlnlng flowers The tables were placed rn a large rectangle wrth the guests seated on the outsnde From the rnslde of the tables ran beautuful pastel streamers to a small central table upon whlch was a large basket of yellow tulrps The garden was lighted wrth candles Favors were nut cups holdlng tlny folded umbrellas behrnd whsch were the place cards The menu was Gathered Dewdrops Rainbow Trout Pot of Gold Fleecy Clouds and Star Dust Mrlky Way Sun Gods Salad Heavenly Breeze Angel Wmg Must and Shower The program was as follows lnvocatuon Dwanne Burrows Master of Ceremonnes Bull Callaway Junror Class Pres Search Herbert Woodcock Song Rainbow on the River Sophomores Rarnbow Shurley Ramsey Sensor Class Pres un Supt Ray Bourquln Song Over the Rainbow Sophomores Ralndrops lrene Roweth T e untlrmg efforts of the class sponsor Msss Yencrc added much to the success of the banquet Student Councll The Student Councul IS a group conslstlng of a boy and gurl elected from each class and a pressdent elected by the entnre student body The purpose of the student council rs to express student opmuon and to sponsor all school partzes and actuvltles Marian Thompson was elected presrdent and she was very capable and well llked by the entlre group The class representatuves for the past year were Joan Page and Kenneth Flnfrock from the sensor class Lorena Young and John Camac from the punror class Maman Rafe and Delbert Woodcock from the sophomore class and Creraldlne Wolford and Earl Frnfrock from the freshman class The council planned that the classes would take turns un glvmg assem bly programs once a month The council also sponsored the Christmas gift exchange and the plcnlc for the last day of school K A , S 'ap .f4.,A in v A ' ,J 45 O U . 1 . . .
