This is the most ignoble class of all. Nevertheless, what you say I will consider; will with patience hear and find a time both meet to hear and answer such high things. CLASS: Jim Chapin, Terry Jensen, and Mary Van Cam pen will form the triumvirate. Terry Hinze and Gloria Powell will represent us in the Forum. KORTIUS: Methinks you have said well. Ay! A holiday to celebrate the triumphs (?) and conquests (?) of this your first year thus together. Of all the wonders it seems to me most strange that this class should be so ambitious when it comes to the time of festivals! CLASS: Have no fear, the signs forecast many pleasures for the coming year. With Anita Person our regent, Jim Ward, vice-regent, Joan Wagner to keep the ledgers, and Terry Jensen and Judy Farritor as Senators, how can you doubt? MYERUS: I doubt not your unboundless wisdom. CLASS: 'Tis by the fate of the gods that they have blest their pleasures upon us. We, the worthy class, have conquered second in the homecoming display among multitudes. Act III Time: August 1964 Scene: B. B.H.S. (Enter Sweenius and 109 Juniors.) CLASS: Hail, Sweenius! (Who sided with the elephants.) SWEENIUS: Juniors, idle days are fled! You must make haste to augment the treasury, that in the vernal season you may undergo with me a noble enterprize. Art thou willing to commit thyselves to this task? CLASS: In that and all things will we show our duty. Leon Books, Bruce Dowse, Diane Vannice, and Gloria Powell will head the campaign for funds. Kay Eacker and Dave Ballard will be our counsels in the Senate Chamber. SWEENIUS: Nuts, franks, and pickled cumbers must be bartered in the Snake Pit nearest the arena. You must enact a play also, to replenish the empty coffers. Ho! 'Tis nearing the ides of March. Tell me of your earnest desires concerning the theme of the banquet. CLASS: The auditorium will be adorned after the manner of an 18th century ballroom. SWEENIUS: Alea jacta est! (The die is cast. ) Act IV Time: August 1965 Scene: B.B.H.S. (Flourish. Jim Farnham, local druggist, admits that he, has seen almost everything now. He said. “Last week a man walked into our I drug store and asked if we had 1 any birthday cards for dogs. 111 was the first time I've ever! heard of buying a birthday card for a dog, but we did find one.”| It seems that Pam and Marti Dittmer, children o Mr. and! Mrs. Gerald Dittmer, were hav-l ing a birthday party for their! dog which was one year old.I H. O. Schmidt, who recently! moved to Loup City and who isj staying at the Dittmer residence, thought it would be appropriate to get a birthday card for the occasion. And inci- I dentally, Mrs. Dittmer baked 3 a birthday cake for the dog. . and last reports are that the 1 birthday party was a howling success. Do you sec what I see, Garry?
