Since being members of the school their minds and characters have been developed by social and classroom contacts. Some of our classmates have become outstanding in the state as well as in our own school. Bruce Duncan, a member of our class for two years, has been a regular member of the honor rolls. He won the County Young Citizenship contest, and was awarded a trip to Omaha to compete in the state contest. The seniors have always taken a prominent part in athletic events. John Imboden has made himself known for his athletic abilities, particularly football and track. We placed eight members on the football team in 1934 and six of these were regulars. Bruce Duncan was the honorary captain of the first basketball team, and Howard Runyan was one of the dependable forwards. During our four years in high school, we have had many good times. As young freshmen, we were led through the first year’s struggles by Wilma Lindley. In this year we greatly enjoyed serving our upperclassmen. Jack Kearney presided over us in our sophomore year, which was spent in ease and study. As president in our junior year, John Kelly did a most complete job. Through his efforts and those of our sponsors, we were able to sponsor a banquet for the seniors. Now, as seniors, we have the pleasure of looking back on the most interesting period of our lives. It is our desire now to show our gratitude to the members of the faculty for their unceasing and most willing cooperation that they have given to us through our four years spent with them.
