Students in this course have an opportunity to learn about the physical and productive aspects of the various parts of the world. Taught by Mr. Glen Seals, this course includes such things as products of the world, wind currents, why the tide comes in and many other interesting facts the student may learn about his world. Johnnie Holmes, Chris Simmons and Fred Carrigan are busy looking at reference material in the library. P.5'lZWO!06'l' Psychology is the study of the human mind, personality, and emotional development. This course is taught by Coach Joe Robinson, and it offers an opportunity for the student to learn about himself. Students learn about various mental tests and emotional measurements' which are used in the treatment and analysis of the various difficulties. 'Ihis course helps the stu- dent to understand and develop his own personality to the best advantage. Donna Cosper is demonstrating her geographical know- ledge of the map to Gary Reynolds. This en- ables the student to become proficient in the use of typing and frequently leads to much success in other fields and courses. Almost every sophomore takes typing I. r9UJ'!!I!f.5'6' The Business Education courses are pri- marily for those students who expect to enter the business world upon completion of their high school work. I E ' -, Bookkeeping is a time-consuming but helpful course, as Linda Cleeton Dee Ann Martin, Beverly Piguet, and Sharon Rhoades will tell. By taking both years astudent can become proficient enough to enter the busi- ness world as a secretary or stenographer. Shorthand enables the student who is going on to college to take notes and to follow the instructors more efficiently. It would be an advisible thing for all students who are capable to take shorthand.
