We were anxious to begin our school career, to climb the ladder of success, te build it rung by rung as we should com plete each year of school work. The first eight grades we finished eventfully--and unevent- fully. Finally, nfter eight years of work end olny We were Fresh- men. Eighty-nine of us stood on this, the 9th rung ef the led- der and felt very quiet. We Were high enough not thwt we could see the top and high enough that looking down made us dizzy---at leest our instructors snid we were. The next full we entered Broken Arrow High School as Seph- Cmerss. After, tend only efter,D our initiation we were full- fledged high schcel students. We were 'ell represented in the sports, band, glee club end various other activities. This year was closed with only the more rungs in our school ladder. As Juniors we were very prvud fer we hed the lergest class ln high school. Seen we began wrrk en the Junior Plwy, Nhystery nt M1dn1ght,U n bleed-curdling heir-rrlsing Tystery nlry inter- mingled with cemedy furnished by two drrky servents. Then months ef prcperrtion were cllmfxed by the Junlfr-Senicr QPHOUGt. On the good ship S. S. Jun-Sen, we entertrined the Seniors, our one time rivals. but then the best of shlpnrtes. September 7, 1957, We entered the deers ff High Scheol with P very jeyous feeling. We ferget that in cnly nine shcrt months we shfuld lefvc never sgnin to meet together. We Senicrs felt very breud when LP Verne Dnvls, our cendldrte fer ffftbfll queen Wes elected. Our play, Hdheerio, My Deeric Wes successful. And the nnnunl-ih the rnnunl! - mcnths of prepwretien end then-Grnd- urtion Week. Now, deer elrssmrtes our High Schfol lvdder is climbed,---We've Written nctes, studied lessens, hed parties vexed tenchers, end lived the life of hnnpy boys nnd girls.
