The Rovers, led by 17 senior players, chalked up a 5-4 season. Defeating some of the toughest teams in the league, the boys showed one of the finest team efforts in this area, — Scores Townville Union Joint Ridgway Brookville Clarion Redbank Val. Ten players were lost through graduation from the great 1966-67 squad, that compiled a 19- 3 record, the best in the school's history. Coach McNulty and his staff were hopeful that last year's Junior Varsity, finishing with an 11- 8 record, would gain experience quickly and be ready by the time Allegheny Mountain League play started in January. Faced with a lack of height, the Rovers had to | hustle this season. The coaches ! were confident that the Rovers would again give a good account of themselves in the 1967-68 hard- wood campaign. He becomes the third Brockway Rover basketball player in the past seven years to be so named and the first Brockway Area High School athlete to ever be named to a first team berth on an All-State team. Considering the difficulty of making an All-State team, it isa tribute to Tom and his teammates and a tremendous honor for Brock- way Area High School. Tom was the recipient of a full NCAA Basketball Scholarship to Syracuse University and is presently a starter on the Syracuse Freshmen team. JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL G. Cameron Coach Murray, G. Coach Magee Under the able management of Mr. Harry Magee, the Rover grapplers had an exciting season. More stu- dent interest and greater crowds drove the Rovers on in their strive for victories. The administration also showed interest in our fine wrestling team by helping them acquire new warm-up jackets in the latter part of the season. After their fine showing this year, the Rover grapplers have high hope for the coming season. onan J. Many of the footprints are known; more, undoubtedly, are | ! | not known. | During their lifetime as businessmen, they have endeavored to build a prosperous in- dustry in our community and nation and thereby have enriched many of our lives. They | led Brockway Glass Company so effectively that today it ranks second largest in the | world in its field, They have also touched our lives through their personal contributions | | of effort, time, and money to our local and area projects. Because of the many footprints they have left directly and indirectly on our lives and on the sands of time, it is fitting that we, the class of 1968, express our appreciation by paying tribute to these men. 104 x 8 ties a = “ev Seer y eres tL h ‘ ‘ ii ee rT Perea ttt censideeeertses} Tia saseett teen, eee akan om sggeeere® ¥ eat eee e Oees ‘ ie oS ; ae BE aS : a? eee eS a é ovaen’ ' oe s sxute¥xeseee®? seseuuueevanesy
