They have become star performers in many different school activities. Top billing does not come to anyone without hard work and the Class of 1953 is no exception. The members have worked unceasingly as a team to bring about their success. The Seniors have demonstrated their clever- ness at every opportunity. ln music they were the mainstay of the chorus and the band. They proved themselves in dramaties by participating in operettas. assembly programs, and class plays. The Dawn and The Buzxern are examples of their literary talent. ln athletics they exhibited their prowess in football, basketball. baseball, wrestling and intra-mural sports. They partici- pated and held ollices in all of the schools clubs and organizations. The members of the Senior Class demon- strated their organizational qualities by produc- ing the best and most original junior-Senior Prom in the history of the school. They toiled long and hard, early and late, but the end justi- fied the means and they were rewarded with a feeling of deep satisfaction at a job well done. Not only did the Seniors strive for honors in activities but also in their studies. They studied hard and learned their lessons well as they struggled to come as close to perfection as possi- ble in their scholastic standards. The honor roll contained many of the Seniors' names and they were rewarded for their efforts by being allowed to take part in Student Participation Day. Now the Class of 1953 is about to leave the protection of their Big Topf, They must prove themselves and become stars in their own right. They have been well trained to face their prob- lems and they will go to meet this new challenge unwaveringly with confidence in their abilities. Though they will become separated. they will keep their memories of each other and remain a lasting credit to their Alma Mater.
