However, theres little cause for con- cern, for an up-and-coming group of juniors stands waiting at the threshold, eager to as- sume the top positions in all school activities. Their sponsor, Mrs. Muth, finds in the elev- enth grade a peppy group of students, well aware of what they wish to achieve and of how they may expect to do so. Last year's juniors initiated the practice of having class sweaters: their immediate succes- sors approved heartily and have this year lfmior CALM IUNIORS GO DRAMATIC adopted the blue and gold sweater as the sign of Sl , The Standard Pennant Co. received their order in january, and Spring seemed to arrive early in the halls of our school, in the form of these gaily colored apparel. Not to be outdone by the predecessors, this class has initiated a new custom, too, that of presenting a lunior Class Play. Theirs was a three-act comedy directed by Mr. l-larbach called, All on Account of Luella . The producf tion was a huge success and meant a lot, both financially and otherwiseg for these earnings helped make possible a wonderful prom, and everyone enjoyed the play, both juniors and their patrons. Of course, The Prom, was the big event of the year and provided the perfect setting for the transition from junior to senior standing in the school. Closing activities with that event, the junior class proved itself ready for leadership in Brockway-Snyder High. With their junior high days behind them the tenth graders have put aside the juvenile pranks of freshman days and have acquired a much P ,SZIQ OWLOPQ 64,155 SOPHOMORES MANIFEST INTEREST more serious attitude toward school and all its activities. The joy of doing a task Well has come to the front as sophomores have begun to put first things first and let lesser items assume only secondary importance. Although classwork is their major interest, sophomores have not been negligent of other contributions to school life. We see them doing their share in clubs, musical organizations, and athletics too. Their big April Showers Party was a gala affair and consequently much fun. Although the Soph's claim parties not to be as vital as they once Were, the class party was well at- tended and gave cause for speculation. Having noted their marked improvement this year, we expect, and with good reason, that the Sophomore Class will not be shirking its share of responsibility in tasks of the future. 413' Sophomore Class Officers have an informal talk with their advisor.
