in H ,,..-13 JUNIGRS LEAD The right combination of work and fun is just bound to be right for everyoneg that's junior philosophy and a guarantee of success. Steering for the junior Class were the following oflicers this year: President, james McMeeking Vice' President, Delbert Butters, Secretary, joyce Boleeng and Treasurer, Katharine Bovaird. They were ably assisted by Mrs. Schlemmer, their sponsor. juniors certainly took no hack s activities here. We saw them on the football eat in school squad, on the basketball team, as cheerleaders, Schlemmer, Mr. Shaffer. Meekin, Butters, UNDERCLASSME in intramurals, and as musicians in the Mixed Chorus, Girls' Glee Club, and Band. Highlighting the Yuletide season was the class Christmas party with its gaiety and fun. Here juniors proved their ability by transforming the gym into a virtual fairyland. Wiiiter gave the class the opportunity to brighten the halls with their class sweaters of maroon and gold. To this group goes credit for originating the idea of having class sweaters. just before the approach of spring, juniors par' ticipated in an excursion to Pittsburgh, visiting many places of interest, but focusii Latin exhibit of the Buhl Planetarium Saving the best for last, the class D mg upon the worked like mad to produce the best prom ever. For weeks the air tingled with excitementg then at long last, prom night came. The blue and white decorations created a lovely atmosphere, a veritable dream land. No longer could we detect any signslof juniorfsenior rivalry.
