Spanish Club 4 . , ! 5 -Q -- , 1 i l vv F F 'Q The 1987-88 Spanish Club had a great year. With monthly meetings and trips to the movies, Spanish restaurants, and parties, Club members learned a lot about Spanish culture, language, and food. For the second year in a row, Senora Patri- ' ' cia Baylor was the advisor. She and the officers r fPresident Shannon Guillory, Vice President Gina Garda, Secretary Cheryl Castiglia, and I Treasurer jessica Wainwrightl came up with many new, fun, and exciting activities. The Spanish Club year was, as in the past, a huge success, as it was again one of the best organizations at Brockton High. The club was formed through the efforts of Ms. Iolli, the advisor, and her Italian classes. However, it is open to all students. The activities of the club include fund raisers, outings, and participation in foreign lan- guage week. Several of the club members are also visiting Italy in April. The Italian Club should be considered a valuable addition to Brockton High. - Marissa Damon -.Q-Mnw-. 5-N v y I 'nr-A.,'w,, .,. If you know the answers to these questions, perhaps you would have been a good candidate for the 1987-1988 Academic Bowl Teams. The Academic Bowl tests the knowledge of students Q' and their ability to think under pressure. Groups of four at a time compete against other schools on the radio, at BHS and other schools, on our own WBHS, and on Cable Television. The Brockton teams have been very success- ful over the past few years and have been awarded with various plaques and trophies. Un- der the direction of Coach Rosemary Koury, the Brockton participants learned to work to- gether as a team, to beat the clock, and to Win.
