T995 13 MAY A Closer Look At Mr. Hughes mx .JP f i I K DE DI CA TION We the class of 1988 dedicate this yearbook to the man, the myth. the legend. Mr. Tom Hughes. Mr. Hughes is a teacher, an authority figure. and most of all. a friend. Two words immediately come to mind when one thinks of Mr. Hughes: devotion and friendship. Mr. Hughes cares for all of his students, He favors everyone and makes us all feel important. He wants each and every one of his students to do well in life. He doesnt give in to the bureaucracy of Administration or to the pass the buck theory. He is down to earth and honest with the students, not only as a teacher but as a person. When it comes to being devoted to the profession one couldnt do better than to look at one of the most dedicated teachers of our school, Mr. Hughes. What is a friend? Someone with a good ear, good advice. and great trust. You can tell Mr. Hughes your most sacred secret or your smallest annoyances and you know that he will listen. Mr. Hughes is not a man who holds back. He doesnt tell us what we want to hear. but rather what we need to hear. The senior class can only thank Mr. Hughes for everything he has done for us. We hope that all students will be as fortunate as we were. and receive such guidance and friendship as we have received from him. Thanks Mr. Hughes?
