f1OLIS6ITIHSf6I' S Dr. Appling has long been the symbol of discipline in the Yellow House. What makes her the no nonsense housemaster she is? She believes it is her determination to uphold high standards for students. Education, and selfdiscipline, and meeting challenges are life- long goals of this housemaster. ln her spare time she enjoys reading, pi- ano, embroidery, swimming, and oragami. She believes that each student should be en- couraged to achieve his or her maximum per- formance level. ln her opinion good attendance, organiza- tion of daily activities and consistent study at home and in school will assist a student to reach his potential level of success. Since 1970, Dr. Appling has seen a count- less number of students pass through the doors ofthe Yellow 1-louse, but she has some- thing special to say to the Class of 1987. Her last words to th em are, Achieve according to your unique abilities and talents and do not be deterred from goals that you know are right for you, and Work together with oth- ers in a team effort to make the world a better place for all people. Kafunda Banks Dr. Claire M. Appling Mr. Chris D. Argys 20 As housemaster ofthe Azure House, Mr. Chris Argys has taught his students many valuable lessons. Repeatedly he has stressed the impor- tance of developing strong student-teacher rela- tionships so that the student may achieve aca- demic excellence. Mr. Argys places an extreme- ly high esteem on responsibility. lt is for the reason that he recommends students to join the various clubs and organizations offered here at B. H. S. Get involved! he constantly urges. Mr. Argys has also instilled a sense of selfpzide in the Azure building students, mainly by recogniz- ing a job well done with words of praise and that quick smile he's known for. Mr. Argys would like to wish the class of 1987 the best of luck in their future endeavors and remember keep smiling! Principal 2 . QQ ' Mr. Robert Reagan Being one of the largest schools in the country gives the students at Brockton High School the opportu- nity to enhance the quality of our school in various ways. Mr. Robert Reagan lies behind the major suc- cess of Brockton High because of his hard work and genuine dedica- tion to the student body and ad- ministration. Active communica- tion between all levels is an essen- tial role in Mr. Reagan 's responsi- bilities, which as a result makes the school run more efficiently. r '23 QQ .w 4' -f.. Students at Brockton High School according to Mr. Reagan are exposed to a myriad of opportuni- ties, which prepares them for their future goals, whether th ey continue on into higher education or pursue a career after graduation. The mod- emizing of equipment in terms of instruction in the computer and business labs have contributed to the careers of many Brockton High graduates. Although the Class of 1987 is rel- atively smaller than in past years, r aw.. - W' Su-...M Mr. Reagan feels that our class has grown in maturity and has pro- duced strong leadership, which has enabled us to be successful in and outside of the school environ- ment. ln closing Mr. Reagan wishes to extend his congratulations to the Class of 1987 and hopes that they will be as successful in their future endeavors, as they were here at Brockton High. Ho usemasters 1 ! S I l i Mr. Mario DiMarzo E Dr. Thomas Cibotti, housemaster of the Q. Green Building, has worked in the Brockton 1 Public School System for a total of 25 years. His great devotion to his job is reflected by the reac- tions of the students. When asked, students re- ysponded that they got along well with him and 'can easily speak to him about many subject matters. Dr. Cibotti believes that it is up to the .students how they relate to me. l enjoy being a part of their educational process, Having devoted so much of his time to stu- l dents of Brockton over the years, Dr. Cibotti has knoticed a gradual change for the better dealing w with the seriousness of seniors. He believes that f more and more seniors are showing a sense ol fpurpose toward their education and that- this .can be seen through their dress, study habits, V and striving for education after high school. It is special because it is your graduation and each one of you is unique and therefore spe- cial. For the past four years it has been the pur- pose ofthe Brockton High School faculty to assist you in the development of your individ- ual talents so that each of you might realize your greatest potential. We hope that we ha ve successfully achieved our mission, but only the test of time will detemiine how successful this experience has been. In the final analy- sis, however, the responsibility for success or failure belongs to each of you individually. The degree of success or failure will depend largely on how committed you are to what- ever field of endeavor you may choose. We reflect with pride and satisfaction on your many accomplishments these past four years. We wish you all happiness. May each of you achieve your goals and be satisfied.
