P .1 As Housemaster of the Red House since 1971, Mr. Mario DiMarzo is re- sponsible for the administration and organization of the students and fac- ulty belonging to the Red Building. It is with his encouragement that the Red House is successfully and effi- ciently maintained. In this period of time, he has seen fifteen senior classes successfully graduate and move on to become mature adults. Mr. DiMarzo states that the attitude of the general population of the stu- dents has moved in a positive direc- tion since the class of 1986 started as freshmen in 1982. Mr. DiMarzo feels that the Class of 1986 has been a pleasant and social group with a high degree of success in its activities and accomplishments. He recognizes the Class of '86 as a good example for the underclassmen because of their enthusiastic, friend- ly, and cooperative attitude. Bobbi-Ann Ruggiero I Mr. Mario D. DiMarzo Dr. Thomas M. Cibotti In Dr. Cibotti's opinion, the cuts in staff and programs at Brockton High would have frustrated lesser people, but the class of '86 has risen admirably to the task of obtaining a solid education. As housemaster of the Green Building, Dr. Thomas Ci- botti is responsible for the supervi- sion of the house's faculty and stu- dent body. Having worked at Brock- ton high for 24 years, Dr. Cibotti has noticed what seems to be a return to normalcy regarding the attitude of today's student on the value of a tra- ditional education. The present senior class has not only distinguished itself in the area of academic achievement and a mild up- swing in SAT scores, but its contribu- tions can also be seen in a renewed pride in Brockton High, and in ef- forts such a peer tutoring, the anti- vandalism rock video and the exten- sion of the S.A.D.D. program among others. The class of '86 can justifi- ably be proud of themselves. Debbie Green

This cooperative spirit and pride may directly result in what Mr. Argys calls the high academic stan- dardsn set by the many seniors he knows. Mr. Argys was surprised at how easily the class of 1986 adjusted, con- sidering that we were caught in the middle of Proposition Zh. He feels that because the class is well-direct- ed , it has risen above all the adversi- ty and has strived to make BHS a better school. Mr. Argys' advice to every member of the class of 1986 is, It's a good world out there-try to make it a bet- ter one. Kimberly Hall Dr. Claire M. Appling Mr. Chris D. Argys It is well known that the Yellow Building has a great deal of pride in its students and their accomplish- ments. A large portion of that pride can be attributed to the housemaster in the Yellow, Dr. Claire Appling. She recognizes the need for school spirit and nurtures it through her students, until it reaches its full po- tential. Dr. Appling feels that, the seniors have contributed through their coo- peration in sharing talents in drama, music, and art, with others. They have showen industriousness in vol- unteer efforts with Key Club, peer counseling and numerous other areas. This has resulted in a positive effect - it has made the school a better place. She believes that, The class of 1986 has actively contributed to school spirit and kept the theme, 'The Pride Is Alive', paramount. Through membership and leadership shown in senate and class activities and school-sponsored clubs, the class has demonstrated a genuine concern for making BHS the bestlv

Bobbi-Ann Ruggiero Mr. Puliafico, Assistant Housemaster of the Azure Building, describes the ASSISTANT HOUSEMASTERS LIFESTYLES LIFESTYLES LIFESTYLES LIFESTYLES LIFESTYLES LIFESTYLES LIFESTYLES Mr. Raymond Bussolari has been Assistant Housemaster in the Yellow Building since its opening in 1970. In that time he has guided and disciplined many students to a successful graduation. He has also maintained school attendance in the Yellow House. His responsibility also includes helping and advising students with the dilemmas they may encounter at Brockton High School. Mr. Bussolari recognizes B.H.S. as a school which has many oppor- tunities to give its students. He hopes that students graduate from Brockton Hi h School with the ability to do well in the outside world Class of 1986 as fantastic , ML P. , as many of us have affectionately called him, feels that self discipline is a very crucial part of our everyday lives. He ,af believes that in the past year, students fyij have become more dedicated to learn- Q ing. Mr. Puliafico feels we should strive to succeed and continue doing well in all of our future endeavors. X Mr. Cardone recognizes the Class of MIX' 1986 as a flue, multi-talented class in all aspects of education such as leader- xv ship roles, theatre arts, and athletics. 4 He feels that the present seniors have Mr Kenneth Card contributed in the effort to make B.H.S. ' one a better school through their leadership --------- N 6 A' 'r roles and general concern for more posi- tive behavior. In closing, Mr. Cardone has some words of advice for the Class of '86, Develop your interests and talents to improve yourself and societyf' Bobbi-Ann Ruggiero The Assistant Housemaster for the Green Building is Mr. Richard Zoino. It is his duty to maintain both the atten- dance and discipline of the students in Mr. Charles Puliafico the Green House. Mr. Zoino has a posi- tive attitude toward the Green House and towards Brockton High School, finding it to be, a healthy environment that is fostered by many, in particular, a student body who cares. Mr. Zoino also notes that overall the students have done well in maintaining excellent academic standards for themselves and have held fast to real and definable career goals. In Mr. Zoino's words, I am quite proud of the graduating Cl-ass of 1986. You have endured and matured through four trying years in public education. Well done! Debbie Green Mr. Richard Zoino
