A multitude of experiences have occurred during your twleve years of formal education. Hopefully, many of these which are pleasant and rewarding will remain indelibly with you for life. You will remember the enduring friendships which have developed, the awards which you have received, the grasping of a difficult concept. the triumphant dramatic performance, and the winning team on which you played. ln regard to proficiency you have progressed from being a non-reader when arriving in grade one to gaining a mastery of written language. You can follow that recipe or dress pattern, solve a linear equation. and you have mastered that typewriter keyboard! Reading has enabled you to understand the disciplines, to relate past and present events, and to ponder about your future. The prestige. the honor of this day. rightfully belongs to you as a reward for your achievements. Your earned diploma represents the culmination of twelve years of dedication and perseverance.
