The fighting Boxer spirit was born then and. having grown stronger through the f years, is alive in our class, We have supported team. our in their 35 9 simple. ever had been. We all wore As we entered Brockton High School. we entered a new our become of the crowdi one in tending Brockton High. Our opponent became stronger. yet so did we. We were reinforced by our desires to succeed. ironically, in a school as large and ominous as Brockton High, we each discovered our own sense of individuality. The pressure to conform no longer existed. Our class diversified into a combination of people as inter- esting as they were different. We entered our sophomore class somewhat fatigued. To our dismay the excitement of the first year was gone. We became weighted down with new responsibilities. Several times we were knocked down by our invisible adversary. The temptation to take the ten count was great, Yeieach time we got off of the canvas, ready to ensue our limi with a renewed ambition. ' V' In our junior year we finally realized the importance of our bout. We could almost feel the approaching climax and we knew we were prepared. Finally it came. The twelfth and final round. We had entered the first round alone and scared. Now we entered the last round together, yet still scared. Now we recog- nized our great opponent. We could see. feel and touch the strength of this enemy . To our dismay our foe was. in fact, an ally. We discovered that our opponent had been within us. It was. in fact. our own fears and doubts.
