Students throughout the country have been a driving force in affecting change in all factions of society-from the federal government down to local levels. As members of these unset- tled times, you have witnessed deceit and corruption and a loss of self-re- spect for our nation. I, too, have shared your fears and concerns. Because of your youthful vigor and enthusiasm, your positive attitude, and pride in your school and your- selves, you have restored my faith in the country and its ability to regain its self-respect. As the Class of 1977, you have demonstrated a sense of pur- pose towards re-establishing our equitable sense of values for all. May God grant you strength to bring to a successful conclusion that which you have begun. 'Chris D. Argys Q i Graduates: and after school . . . . . . . ? It is better to be educated to some extent than not to be educated at all. You will, of course, agree that it is. 'lhen is it not still better to have a better than average educa- tion? No one can pack enough into his mind during school days to last his lifetime. Graduates, education ends only with one's life. What you learn at school is something to which you must add, year after year, and pass on to others. Thus, said Einstein, do we mortals achieve immortality in the permanent things which we create in common. With best personal regards, I remain' Very truly yours, F503-72 We John F. Ryan
