Primarily, you must understand that as an individual in the United States you live in a free and open society. This social process has as its principal ideal the recognition of the dignity and the Worth of each individual. Gur system necessitates your understanding certain responsibilities, skills and behaviors: you must cultivate the love of truth and justice, actively participate in political, economic and social life, demonstrate loyalty, economic efficiency, creativity and inven- tive-ness, reverence, and concern for the Welfare of others, ln addition, it is vital that you develop your intellectual capabilities to reach decisions based upon critical thinking as well as the willingness to act consistently with the conclusions reached.
