Women of today, however, lead two lives: and preparing for commercial careers, the part-timers practice their business skills in the various offices throughout the high school. Rise, please, for the Pledge of Allegiance. Thus we begin our day at BHS to the cheerful voice of our student announcer. For some, the first class is history. As we live the present, We build our future on the past: the His- tory Department helps us under- stand the modern world with its problems, the results of events of previous eras. 1.46.3

MR. EDWIN A. NELSON Superintendent of Schools From September 9, l953, when our class entered the first grade, Mr. Nelson has been the man with the awe-inspiring title superintendent of schools. During these past twelve years he has been the administrator responsible for carrying out the wishes of the community through the professional staff. lt has been his task to give each member of the Class of l965 the opportun- ity to acquire a Well-coordinated education. That he has admirably accomplished this ob- jective, We, the Class of l965, are about to prove to ourselves our parents, and our friends. 7 P N if it - I MR. ANTHONY UANTUONO Assistant Superintendent Although Mr. D'Antuono has been our assistant superintend- ent for only a short time, he has already proved himself a defi- nite asset to the Brockton School System. During this past year he has been principally occu- pied as curriculum coordinator, a post cf primary importance in the city's educational program. A ?
