Communication is the basis of all human progress. lt is the essential feature of any social group. Perhaps the most important factor contributing to the ills of the world today is the failure of people to communicate successfully with one another. Certainly one way of correcting this situation is through the study of foreign languages, which can introduce us to new ways of thought and to different customs and manners.
