The most important people in the monetary transactions of our class are the dues collectors. These people, one from each homeroom, are faced with the task of wrestinq dues from their money-conscious classmates. Their duty is not an easy one, but when yearbooks are handed out our dues collectors are wreathed in glory. 20

One of the best means by which pupils may take an active part in discussing pertinent school problems is to participate in the Student Advisory Council. This year, the Council was able to make a thorough investigation of school conditions and to offer many suggestions for improvement, under the able leadership of Lawrence Sislcind, President, Catherine Centrella, Vice-President, Sharon Keith, Secretaryg and Nicholas Outchcunis, Treasurer. Since this years student council was one of the largest ever to be organized at B.H.S., the following various committees were formed: cafeteria committee, student parking committee, grounds committee, assembly committee, and traffic commission. These committees held weekly meetings during which they dis- cussed the results of their investigations. The entire council held monthly meet- ings at which the students compiled all committee information for their respec- tive home rooms. The council has been greatly concerned with the cafeteria problem, and their policy has been emphasized by artistic and forceful posters placed throughout the school. The student council also had the pleasure of awarding sterling silver footballs and basketballs to the senior members of the two teams. 19
