Frantically trying to meet their early deadline, the yearbook staff wrote, rewrote, tore up, and wrote again page after page of endless copy. This year, under the able leadership ot President Richard Arruda, the council prepared the Student Guide, sponsored the Hoopsters' Hop to honor the basketball team, and directed a rnost prosper- ous drive for the lunior Red Cross. 14

This is the place where Brocktonia is planned and developed, where last-minute news is hurriedly called in, and where activity never ceases. This year editors-in-chief, Ioan Kvaraceus, Iudith Mechaber, and ludith Stone were proud to have Columbia University bestow a second-place award on Brocktonia tor its excellence among school publications. 16
