Advised by Miss Sylvester the Council, consisting oi one representative from each home room, devoted its time to such activities as pre- paring and financing the Student Guide, sponsoring the Hoopsters' Hop in honor oi the basketball team, and directing a prosperous drive tor the Iunior Red Cross. At meetings several school problems have been discussed. At the state conven- tion oi the Massachusetts Association oi Student Councils held in May, 1957, President Robert Burke and Vice-President Rosalind White led a discussion on the topic, How can the Student Council encourage a greater spirit oi honor and integrity among the students? 24

At many class meetings we were reminded of the need for our money. Without the persistence of Nancy and her friends we would not have our yearbooks now. Our hats are off to them. 26
