Z?aaLefLaf lam This year's basketball team, under the fine coaching of Mr. Gordon lVIcKernan, was definitely tourney bound from the start of the season because of the return of a veteran squad sparked by the excellent rebounding of Captain Eddie Burke, Dick Chilauskas, and Dick Mapp, and the fine driving and ball handling of Carl Eloren, David Norling and Tommy Pavao. Valuable substitutes included Garo Arevian, William Donahue, and Dick Eranciosi. On the basis of a fine season's record, which included only one defeat to North Quincy, the team qualified for the Eastern Massachusetts Tourney and defeated Somerville and Lawrence before being stopped by Winchester in the semi-finals. Leading scorer and three-year veteran Eddie Burke was chosen for the All Scholastic Team. Front row, left to right: Richard Mapp, Thomas Pavao, Edward Burke, Carl Floren, David Norlinq. Second row: Coach Cordon Mcliernan, Richard Franciosi, Richard Chilauskas, Robert Burke, Barry Walsh, Manager Robert Dodd. Third row: John McDonough, Iohn Hartwell, David French, Richard Putter. 16
