EW RLS Takin' a Seat: Terry Cockerline, Deb Wallace, Andrea Clarke, Scott Pegg. Standing Tall: Cindy MacDonald, Steve Brooks, Christa Crawford, Denise Avery. Wow' Here ends the first chapter ofthe book called New Rez . 251 authors formed the plot. provided a cast of Brocks' finest, and began the story which will be told for years to come. But here is where the cast mug say good bye to its neighbours and tiiends who made up our community a community aware ofpnvilege and built on pride. What apleasure it has been sharing this experience with you. making memones and taking heart photos that are the cherished souvenirs of our year together. l thank you for forming our spirit of excellence, respect and commitment. And we thank our dons who led us in this spirit. Someone once said a leader is a person who determines the direction, sets the pace and applauds the The NRLS has gone beyond this, beyond light bulbs. toilet paper and vacuums, and certainly beyond 52 cents an hour: they've made sacriiices to make our family who it is. For your pain and mine, they paid with their tears. For your joy and mine. they shared their laughter. For all our stresses. dilemmas. beefs and bouquets. They spent their own time, energy and souls. if ,aj-lx For all this we applaud you. For much more Ithank you. DECEW RLS Back: Mike Larocque, Lisa Townsend, Julie Robtaille, Angela Martin, Cindy Buelow, Andrew Lekas. Front: Julie MacCauley, Blair Sunderland, Suzie Porritt, Ken Foster, Wendy Manning, Kristyn Duckett. For some, this was the first of many great years at Brock, for other the end of an era. If you are like most, in Sep- tember you came to DeCew and couldn't imagine living HERE for two whole sem- esters. And now, only after a couple of heart breaks, a dozen headaches, some sleepless nights cramming, a few nights crying, a million spent laughing, far too much pizza and countless friendships eight months later -- you can't imagine ever leaving. Memories are funny that way. You tend to forget the leaky ceiling, the noise next door, the midnight fire alarms, all the stress and anxiety over exams and you even get over that broken heart. But what you are left with are memories of house spirit and surprised that Airband wasn't half as embarrassing as you thought it would be, 'cause you were all in it together. You'll remember how bad Marriott was, and laugh about it, just as you'll laugh over the midterm you bombed from staying up the night before trying to understand the opposite sex -- and never did. You'l1 remember the night you drank too much, well maybe not, but Fm sure you remember the morning after. But whether first or fifth, in DeCew Rez, we lived, laughed and learned together. gope all your memories are fond ones! en
