Helen Weber President 5 Carol Carpenter Vice-President Dorothy Woodley Secretary QL Miss Mills Advisor l Little Women Vollonittes The time? Eight A. M. The place? Girls, Club Office. The day? Wednesday. H-m-m, this must be the Volentes meeting. Goodness, look how busily the girls are working. Someone told me the Volentes mem- bers are making eyeshades for the soldiers in the hospitals. I wish I had someone to make things for me. The Volentes is an organization. you know, made up of girls who have given outstanding service to Broadway. These girls usher at school productions and they help other organizations. Yes, sir, being a Volente certainly is an honor. P .4 AE- .N -5Iff,i'l1 .3 a 1.42 I-fy-r Run: Drxrnrhv Vlfoodlrv. She Sitiriiyes to Conquer GIRLS' CLUB Here I am in the Girls' Club Ofhce. I don't know if I have the courage to struggle through this bevy of girls. There's Miss Mills, the helpful advisor. She'll protect me. The girls in here are always busy at something. They give cozys and dances and teas and parties. At Thanks- giving they help fill baskets for the needy families and at Christmas everyone looks forward to their pageant. This year the girls have been helping the Boys' Club sponsor noon dances. Wliile Miss Mills was away the girls took care of the Girls' Club all by themselves. My, they were busy. You know, if I were a girl, I certainly would make my home in the Girls' Club Ofhce. joan Reed Second Vice-President Patricia Tripple Secretary I I mu'-Kathleen Thomas. Little Men Tiger' Claw Frank Sugeno H'm'm'm'm, this is a meaty taste. What is it? Oh, the Tiger Claw, eh? That is the Senior service club and is made up of hand- picked Senior boys, chosen because of their previous service to Broadway. These fellows are really workers, too. They help in every worthwhile school project and they do it without bragging. g The Tiger Claw helps at the P.T.A. dances, helps keep the halls of 5 H Broadway clean, and delivers the Thanksgiving baskets. Besides just doing the work of others, the Tiger Claw initiates projects of l i T 'i . . . R its own. It is really a pr1v.lege to eat through a page dedicated to oger Levan fellows as worthy as the Tiger Claw. Shig Murao nits CW C? r ,1 . - 'Q , ll,gll'lli R , T j W. E.
