New students and new faculty may come to the school without even being noticed by everyone. There is, however, one person whom everyone will become acquainted with sooner or later, the new principal, Mr. James Gresham. smoke in a designated area if they had a smoking permit, which included parental approval. Now, no one is permitted to smoke at any time or place. Mr. Gresham feels that allowing students to smoke at school is indirectly putting the school’s stamp of approval on smoking in general. The teachers voted unanimously to abolish smoking, and many parents and students dyiee with this action. Mr. Gresham has many goals for B.H.S. He first of all, wants to “continue the student and community pride of traditions, and strengthen the academic and vocational curriculum.” He also wants to provide as many of the programs that the community suggests as possible.
