In our second year of conference play, our team made a fine showing un der the guidance of three fine coaches: Mr. Swanson, Boys Varsity MI Robertus Girls Varsity, and Mr. Strosky, Mixed Team These men gave of their time and efforts to instill pride and spirit in the teams As any coach knows it is their Job to excite the players and promote the team to bigger and better things. Through determination and hard work both boys and girls varsity teams captured district trophies. As is fitting, such as is our school policy, the tro- phies are proudly displayed in our school trophy cas. Tro- phies are physical symbols of excellence displayed by a team of athletes. These vol- leyball trophies stand for the determination, grit and strength of our athletes. They proclaim to the community the recognition of a few by manyg a few athletes are recognized and honored by many people. This is what getting a trophy means to athletes.
