This home-away-from-home life, with its social implications, religious out- lets, and few-but-fun moments of play, is a lesson book in personal and spiritual development: the mold wherein young characters and person- alities are formed. 9 +91 W WWW HWS T CHOOL - T HIIVIE - L. N. HOL. I l Q. 3 . o the father of our big school family, beloved and respected Hhead of our house, Professor L. N. Holm, We dedicate with unmeasured de- votion, this book. In its mizpah token of farewell, we express our wish for heaverfs continued benediction on his life and work. Our hearts follow after him and his Wife as they leave our midst. Our voices prayer- fully say, The Lord watch between us and thee. L 1 W roadx W gi? js? wi, ia, bla ..x...p Q W Fami OUR PRAISES T0 THEE BROADVIEW ADMINISTRATION mx Q J S-5 PR IDE T' ESSAGE Theodore Careieh President of Illinois Conference he greatest assets of God's church are not found in any financial or material reserves but in the children and youth committed to our care. In a peculiar sense the youth belong not only to us but to Christ, our Lord. The Saviour looks upon the youth as the purchase of His blood, the trophies of His grace, to be trained and educated as skillful Workman for the up- building of His kingdom. Satan is ever seeking to Wrest thesc youth from the hand of Christ, and it is the business of the Christian school to preserve the assets of the church. To this end, and this end only, are dedicated the resources and strength of Broadview Academy. Recognizing that the future of our youth will testify to the character of the institution's work, I again pledge the full support of the Broadview Academy Board to the ideals and standards of Christian education as outlined in the divine blueprints. To the realization of this objective I would welcome the hearty support and earnest prayers of our entire constituency. Theodore Careleh A MESSAGE . -11 me vt f Z' he most important part of the work of a Christian school is to lead young people to experience the power of an indwelling Christ. To this end the Board, Faculty, and Administrative officers of Broadview Academy bend every effort. The world very greatly needs men and Women of sterling character and Christian virtue. To teach young people to be kind when by nature they would react unkindly, to be patient under provocation, to be truthful when it is easier to be dishonest, to be humble and ready to serve in any station wherever needed, and to be clean mentally and physically, comes as a result of a recreated life. My very best wishes are extended to the boys and girls who have studied here and to those who will continue to seek to learn here the way of the more abundant life. L. N. Holm ylor Mr. T3 mmerton .
