Our principal, Mr. McLavy, was here before school opened the first year, and he has stayed through the years to become an essential part of our school's growing tradition. Wherever the alumni-of Broadmoor High School go, they will carry with them memories of Mr. Mac, who has helped to make Broadmoor the finest in the land. From his single action of enforcing school regulations to his announcing on the P.A. system, Mr. Mac is as much a part of Broadmoor as our spirit and our classes.

The faculty, consisting of fifty-four members, and its knowledge imparted to students are as important as any other part of school. Most of the forty-eight homeroom teachers are required to teach six hours a day. Consequently. they must spend long hours at home preparing and grading assignments and homework. Many times a student will hear adults referring to the idiosyncrasies of a particular teacher. Such things as grading methods, disciplinary actions and teaching methods are discussed witli laughter, sincerity and exclamations. These memorable facts are what will reconstruct our high school days. ADMINISTRA TION 17

Some assistant principals are merely shadows of the principal, but such is not the case with Mr. Bankston. He provides a true counterpart to our principal. Even as the average of their heights is a good height, the average of their personalities is an excellent personality. Mr. Bankston's annual pep talk before the Istrouma High game and his famous red socks add a certain quality to the spirit and personality of Broadmoor High School. These things will go with us as happy memories when we leave Broadmoor. Mr. Bankston works hard to keep our school a good one. Let's see, I know it's here somewhere . MR. FRED BANKSTON ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL B.S., M.Ed. Louisiana State University 19
