65444 Wwlfazq In September 1950, we entered a new world Qhrgh schoolj awkward, tern fred and green We always seem to be rn the way and the upper classmen dtd not help matters any Our fxrst attempt at earnmg money was sponsormg a Penny Carmval whrch went over brg wrth everyone On the srde we sold blue and whrte beanres and pennanrs In our Sophomore year we devoted most of our trme to food sales Our brggest event was our Valentrne Dance whrch turned out to be more of a hm drance than a help We really got down to busrness rn our Iunror year, smce we realrzed that at the rate we were gorng we would not even reach Va1lM1lls Someone got the brg tdea of putttng on a Spaghettr Supper Everyone worked hard to make rt a success To grve the salesmen rn our class a chance to put rherr best foot forward we started a stockrng club Durrng the basketball season we accord mg to custom, had charge of the check room Toward the end of our Iunror year we began to feel very grown up Qthrs our memorable Junror Prom But naturally we thought choosrng our Semor rrngs was our btggest moment, and we floated rnto our Semor year on a prnk cloud What' Was thrs a dream or were we really Senrorsr It drd not seem possrble that our four years of work rn hrgh school were almost completed Our frrst drsagreement came when we chose our Semor sweaters To solve the problem we held a contest between the boys and grrls to see what group could sell the most trckets to our Semor Play Frnally we chose whtte sweaters wrth black letters much to the drsapporntment of the boys Then came our brg moment' Early rn November we presented our Semor Play SEVENTEENTH SUMMER It was a real success' Some mrnor prolects were sellmg pencrls, paper and memory books Last but not least we sold refreshments at our home basketball games At thts trme we are lookrng forward to our trrp to Washmgton wrth great antrcrpatron C499 GD 1 may not have been noticeable to the faculty.j We sponsored movies and held I C I
