gfcafafuf The class of 1949 entered the upper corridors of the high school in 1945 with a total attendance of 34 members Full of ambition we lected our officers under the guidance of Mr Chous and Yrs Heath, our advisors The officers were as follows President Winifred Fisher, Vice President Edgar Crannell, Secretary Patricia Taggart, Treasurer Robert Quinn, Reporter Beverly Foss Then bravely we sponsored a movie and sold stationary as our first money making ventures Then, lo and behold! here we were sophomores! Again we held the yearly ritual of electing officers The results President Paul Kissen ger, Vice President Celia Putman, Secretary Patricia Taggart, Treasurer Mary Stecyk Our magician show and our sleigh rides were the big events of that year Of course, being Sophomores we had two dependable movies for support Things are getting tough now Were beginning to weaken, but here we are the still thriving Juniors Back to the old grind The usual metting and officers as follows President Marilyn Baldwin, Vice Presi dent Edgar Crannell, Secretary Celia Putman, Treasurer Patricia Taggart Our Junior Prom had everybody a buzzin like honey bees Things were all upset The auditorium was in an uproar with everyone brandishing crepe paper and Scotch tape Nevertheless, a good time was had by all, and it proved very profitable A skating party and again the faithful old movies made up our yearly cash acco1nts Hurrahl At last, can it ever be9 Here we are the nA1m1ghty elected our officers for the last time, President Patricia Taggart, Vice President Marian Banach Secretary Reporter-Mary Stecyk and last but very not deceidly not least Treasurer Margaret Attanasoff Our accomplishments this year are plentiful Included ln them is a trip to Schuylerville and the Saratoga Battlefield accompanied by our new Principal Mr Townley and our ever helpful Social Studies teacher, Miss Cloutier Then came the hasqethsll season a d the sale of coke and ice cream in the cafeteria be n to boom a a1n 7henever we could, we squeezed in a mov1e thus everboostingour small funds Of course, we cannot forget the most important issue of he year the grand and glorious Senior Play,'BABY SITTER' Everyone was sensational in his pert and it came of with a big bang' As is our goal, we ob t 1ned almost sufflcient funds for our anticlpatcd trip to washington in Ma Ne are all looking forward to 1 with greet 8UX10tY and the usual biting of nails took place Ne also plan 8 great Sem-01' B811 either before or after graduation A few trips to P18063 of 5115111953 toobtgin obs gust about completes our activities throughout High School Upon leaving, we wish to thank all the teachers WY10 have helped us so in our great moments of stress To them, 3 Slqcerev 'Thank You and farewell' from all the members of the C1885 of 1949 14 o . e - Seniorsn.
