'S 1 ' - o.: I Broadalbm Hugh School The Broadalbm School was centralized IH May 1930 An appropriation for a new bulldxng was voted ln December 1931 The plans were finally approved ln September 1932 and m December 1933 the proJect was undertaken by the P W A The bonds amounted to S140 000 and the outright allot ment came to 535000 The project was actually bevun m May 1934 and completed on January 7 1935 The registration ln the academic department ln September 1930 was 78 but In January 1935 lt Our new edifice IS situated on a hxll overlookmg the vxllage It is thoroughly equlpped wxth every advantage for the pupils Both the puplls and public apprecnate their new bunldmg There are located on the first floor the audltorlum cafeterla office and the 6th 7th and 8th grades A the second floor IS one of the finest llbrarles in this section The llbrary IS also used as a study, nall Then there 'ue the class rooms of the High School and a well equlpped laboratory Certainly with as fine a school as this the pupils ought to do thelr best to succeed ln their work ls I I I I 7 ' I V v I . v ' V . . . . , I ' u ' ' 43 I v v 1 'J - ' .
