There has been a school musical organization almost as long as the school has existed, and at this time the band seems to be at its peak in musical ability and efficiency. The organization Is under the direction of J. Howard Sheeler, and due to Mr. Sheeler's long stay at Broad Top, he has been able to build up a band in which he has started nearly every member In music, and therefore he knows exactly the capability of his group. The vocal chorus of Broad Top High School was first organized as a glee club about six yea vs ago. Both boys and girls were in the old glee club; Since this combination did not work too well it wa organized with only girl and was called rhe vocal chorus. Its officers are: Faye Chaney, oresident; Olivo May Hitman, secretary; and Anna Rae Himes, treasurer.
