At Broad Ripple High School, 'situated for 71 years on the banks of White River in the fast- growing northeast section of Indianapolis, we have our choice of 124 courses designed to suit our individ- ual needs and interests. Here we have 60 classrooms and laboratories, two gymnasiums, and a library with more than 9,000 volumes to assure us of up-to-date instruction. Broad Ripple has been commissioned as a first-class high school since 1934 and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Second- ary Schools.

Although only one year of mathematics is required by the state for graduation, almost 700 of our stu- dents are enrolled in advanced mathematics courses each semester. In our English and speech classes, We learn through public speaking practice the fundamentals of forceful verbal expression. We are drilled constantly in spelling. On an all-school test of 50 fundamental spelling words more than 93 per cent of us received perfect scores.
