Although they were a bit short on players, they had a lot of team spirit. The Tories won 3 and lost 5 games. Although they lost, they played their best game against Ida flda gained a 19-0 lead in the first half, Britton then came back to hold Ida scoreless and gained to within 6 points of Ida before the final whistle bIew.J Ida, Onsted, and Adrian C. C. were tied for first place in the league with a 4 won 1 lost record. The next three teams were Deerfield, Sand Creek, and Britton, with a 1 won 4 lost record. The team will lose 6 men through graduation: two guards, Bob Faust and Ron Croll, one tackle, Dick Bruce, two ends, Harold Rhora and Ken Bortel, and one half- back, Larry Patterson. John Korican and Karl Kimerer were elected co-captains for the next year. For the first year Britton placed two members on the Little Six Conference team. Dick Cox for a good iob at ceriter position and Ron Croll at guard were unanimously picked by the coaches. Fred Barnoske, a Freshman, was given honorable mention. Ron Croll was voted most valuable player by his teammates for a good iob in the line. He was also given honorable mention on the all-state class c and d team.
